Blow Your Trumpet Films was formed by Anne Dodsworth in 2015 when she moved to Yorkshire after many years working in television, film and corporate filmmaking. Based in London, Anne worked on prime time programmes such as The Southbank Show and The Bill. She also travelled the world working on high end productions including the BBC’s TimeWatch, and more popular programming such as ITV’s Temptation Island.
Now based in York, Anne has put together a team which understands how to make the best, most engaging films. Her team includes Drone Operators, Lighting Technicians, Sound Recordists and Camera Assistants.

Background
Anne Dodsworth was brought up in York and studied a degree in Communication Studies at Sunderland University and an MA in Cinematography at the Northern School of Film and TV, University of Leeds.
Anne has just moved back to York after many years working in London, freelancing as Director of Photography/Camera Operator in film and television and corporate. Anne has worked in many environments around the world, from the frontline in Former Yugoslavia to the heart of the Guatemalan jungle and has filmed many famous and infamous people, from war criminals to superstars, politicians, royalty, business leaders and many vulnerable people including prisoners, torture victims, war orphans and people with serious injuries and terminal illnesses.
Anne’s credits include feature-length documentaries for the Southbank show, The Bill, BBC Timewatch, Reality TV shows, holiday programmes (including underwater filming) and numerous corporate films for blue chip companies worldwide.
